The WECO FMS series is a commercial high-efficiency water softener, assembled in the USA. It's designed for treating municipal and well water supplies. This softener employs a high-efficiency 10% cross-linked certified resin, renowned for its robust resistance to oxidation, osmotic, and thermal shock.What is 'Hard Water'?

Hard water arises from an abundance of calcium and magnesium minerals in the water. These dissolved minerals can lead to various issues, from aesthetic concerns to severe plumbing damage. It causes unsightly spotting on glassware, plates, and cooking surfaces. Additionally, at high temperatures, these minerals accumulate at the bottom of water heater tanks, reducing hot water production and heating efficiency, thus increasing energy costs. Hard water also harms heating elements in appliances like coffee makers. Furthermore, solid mineral deposits clog filter screens in dishwashers, refrigerators, and ice makers, diminishing their effectiveness. Moreover, it hampers dishwashing detergents' efficacy, making handwashing and dishwasher cleaning more challenging.
How do softeners treat 'Hard Water'?

Hard water is softened by extracting its calcium and magnesium content. Through ion exchange, the softening system's resin bed removes these ions, ensuring only softened water flows to your property. When the resin bed becomes saturated, regeneration is necessary to eliminate the hardness minerals. Salt, usually sodium chloride or potassium chloride, is employed in this process to rejuvenate the resin, allowing the ion exchange to resume.
